  • Destination wedding photographer flop? This week saw a major discussion go down as a bride revealed her (destination) photographer was caught without a work permit and not allowed to capture the wedding. We are a little skeptical the post is legit however… Perhaps a local wedding photographer trying to instil fear into other destination photographers? These games are crazy. Yet, it’s a very GREY area. Read more here.

  • Sigma’s ‘beautiful camera’ reviews rolling in. Reviews of the fascinating new camera from Sigma are rolling in. It’s definitely a stunning and different design, but does it perform? This Youtube review is a great place to start finding out. Great photos too.

  • Chat GPT image game changer. The last 24 hours saw huge leaps forward in AI image generation. With Chat GPT now able to create stunning visuals, AND even accurately replicate and create amazing typefaces. It’s a leap forward that takes AI imagery from novelty, to usable. Read the official release here, and a great summation of everything here - with the quote “the barriers of creation are being torn down..”

what camera should I buy?” Yeah. Just send them here.

DON’T FREAK OUT. Wedding season is about to start.
In a few few weeks or months all of us, will be in the thick of it. So, NOW is the time for photographers to get organized, get ready, and prepare yourselves. It’s time to check that gear - order those fresh hard drives, book that travel, prep those workflows, trial that AI editing, get that new camera bag, all of it.

BUT most importantly? It’s time to prepare to level up your SHOOTING. Because that’s what you want this season right? To improve, move, and make better photos. It’s time to hone those last-minute skills before you have to actually DO them on the big weddings days. So here are 3 things to practice and THINK about now before it all kicks off.

INSPO THIS WEEK

⬇️ Love this high up perspective that offers context and just speaks to so much in this shot. Not just a photo OF.

⬇️ Content ideas we love: A round up that focus on a surprising object. Case and point here, DISCO BALLS. Insanely good shots, insanely good inspo for you to put your twist on this idea.

⬇️ Epic frame ideas at an epic venue. From the details to the posing, this is a winner at Villa Cetinale.

⬇️ Is that first shot a reflection? YES. And is the rest of this post 11 out of 10 wedding photography? Also YES. Nirav, once again raising this bar for 2025. It’s moments, colors, emotions, tones, compostion and chaos to perfection.
